Navicore personal is intended for use while driving and any map material with maritime data is currently not available.

You are naturally free to use Navicore Personal compass features while at sea. The GPS compass is accurate and provides your current location in WGS-84 format.

Navicore licenses the map data from a leading spatial data vendor Tele Atlas NV. Despite using great care, production of large map material can include also some errors. This is especially true for new roads and changes in the road network, which may not have been incorporated in the material yet.

The digital maps can not be edited by you. However, if the road has been removed you can set a roadblock to it using navicore Personal.

You can report an error to Tele Atlas by using this form.

Navicore plans to release an update of the maps one or two times in a year. These updates are available are special upgrade products that existing users can purchase. Upgrades contain extended map material, modifications to existing maps and new features to Navicore Personal program. Upgrades are not free of charge but existing users of Navicore Personal can purchase them for a discounted price with Navicore’s special upgrade scheme. Availability of upgrades is announced at Navicore website, in products newsletters available to registered users and through Navicore resellers.

Note that in addition to upgrades Navicore provides from time to time as necessary so called patches (or hotfixes) to the product. These hotfixes are free of charge and can be downloaded from Navicore’s website. Hotfixes correct possible errors in Navicore software but do not contain modifications to the map or new features.
